General description of Airsoft BB
Airsoft guns fire a 6mm-diameter spherical projectile pressed from plastic or starch (called a "BB"). 6mm is more common and is the only one allowed to be used in games. BBs can be made of plastic (metal powder is mixed for the heavier ones), starch (this is "bio", i.e. degradable BB) or phosphorescent material (this is tracer), all of which are available in several weights and packages. We do not recommend organic BBs for gas guns, as they break more easily, and we do not recommend them for places where people play with mesh masks, as they also break more easily on the mesh. Tracer BBs only light up when they are illuminated (charged) with a UV LED, for this you can get tracer silencers or you can also tracer most hop up chambers.
The weight of the BB has an effect on the dispersion pattern and the shooting range, the shooting range floor depends a lot on the FPS and the hop up system and the barrel.
