Description

CNC Split Gearbox V2 Internal Hop-Up Chamber (8mm) - QSC

The CNC Split Gearbox V2 is a two-part gearbox designed for airsoft guns, made for AR15 (M4), M16 and other V2 gearbox guns. This gearbox is made of a single solid block of aluminum (duralumin), the strength of which (590 MPa) is higher than ordinary structural steel (390 MPa). Thanks to the material used, the gearboxes have better durability and flexibility than common zinc-aluminum gearboxes. These gearboxes are produced by the RetroArms Company on our precise CNC milling machines. The part (8mm) in brackets means that the diameter of the bearings/bushings is 8mm.

The split gearbox means that this gearbox consists of two parts, Upper and Lower gearbox parts. The split gearbox has many advantages. For example, it is much easier to install internal components in the gearbox. When adjusting the cylinder set, it is not necessary to remove the gearbox from the body, only the upper part needs to be removed, because it is attached to the body with a pin.

The recommended nozzle is 21.3 mm. However, it may happen that some hop-up bodies require nozzles of a different length, so choosing this requires expert experience, or it is worth buying a nozzle with an adjustable length.

The package includes:
- CNC Split Gearbox V2 (8mm) - QSC (quick spring change)
- screw set
- QSC spring guide (quick spring change spring guide)
- Hop-up chamber and accessories

Description of the CNC Split gearbox V2:

  • We made grooves for the springs, so they will definitely not jump off.
  • A groove for the safety lever, so it will also last during installation.
  • Groove to firing spring for better fit.
  • AOE control hole.
  • We used a smaller diameter to accept the bearings/bushings by about -0.02mm (7.98mm) to prevent the bearings from turning during installation. The edges of the bearing locations were cut off for easier installation.
  • The grooves used by the wires have been expanded by 1 mm, now you can use wires with a diameter of 2.5 mm.
  • Protection for the wires at the engine..
  • Both switch parts were placed between grooves and edges.
  • Added hole to release anti-reverse latch.
  • In order to increase durability, we added 100% more material to the cylinder head part of the gearbox, as this was the most critical part.
  • Added groove to anti-reverse latch spring to prevent it from jumping off.
  • The outer edges are rounded.
  • On the outside of the gearbox, you can find what type of sockets the gearbox has (8 mm or 9 mm).
  • The RetroArms gearbox has a quick spring change system (QSC) that allows you to remove the entire spring guide with a hex key and replace the spring without opening the gearbox. In this solution, the spring guide must be fixed with a screw, usually with the stock screw for AR 15 (M4) replicas. In situations where there are folding stocks or no stock at all, the spring guide must be secured with the QSC bolt. Otherwise, the spring guide may get stuck with the spring. This is because the spring guide is not fixed in the transmission, but can be easily removed with a hex key.

The location of the trigger button in the gearbox is compatible with the trigger switches of manufacturers such as Gate etc.

The CNC gearbox has a protective anodization, even if the anodization of the aluminum EN AW 7075 T651 material is problematic, it is necessary because there may be a risk of corrosion.

The CNC gearbox can only be installed in airsoft replicas that meet Tokyo Marui standards. This includes internal components. Do not use great force during installation. Only apply a tightening torque of 1 Nm to the screws, otherwise the screws may suck the thread into the gearbox. It is not necessary to pull the screws with brute force, if you want to be sure that they fit perfectly, use thread glue or thread-locking paint.

You can use any spring of your choice in the CNC derailleur, but note that stronger springs will result in lower durability.

Do not use the MAXX Model cylinder head!

The installation of internal components and the gearbox requires professional knowledge, experience and skills. There are many airsoft manufacturers in the market and they all create their own sizes, there are no standards like ISO in airsoft. This is the main problem with many internal and external components from different manufacturers that may be the same product but have different dimensions. It is recommended to only use parts from manufacturers that have Tokyo Marui compatible parts where there will be no problems with installation.

general description

The gearbox housing of electric airsoft guns is the part of the gun, which includes the cylinder, cylinder head, piston, piston head, spring, spring guide, and gears. The gearbox housing is the main component of airsoft guns. A durable well-designed gb housing is essential to building a durable gun. With low-quality or factory gearbox housings, it may happen that the housing breaks from the high energy within a short time after a stronger spring is inserted.

In most cases, gearbox housings are made of two types of materials.
In the case of factory weapons, the so-called spiater material is typical, but reinforced and durable ones can also be purchased from them. The other is CNC aluminum, they are much more durable and can handle even M150-e springs without any problems.

Whether it requires a V2, V3, V7 or other gearbox can vary by weapon type.

IMPORTANT: Before buying, always make sure which gearbox housing is required for the weapon!

We can only guarantee the parts we install!
